History of Bhakkar
Bhakkar is the capital city of Bhakkar District of Punjab. It got the status of district in 1981. Bhakkar is a part of Thal Desert and it is situated on the left bank of Indus River. Bhakkar is considered a backword and undeveloped district of Pakistan. Bhakkar was founded in fifteenth century. During British Rule Bhakkar was a tehsil of Mianwali district.

Punjabi, Saraiki and Urdu are the languages which are spoken in Bhakkar.

ReplyDeleteBhakkar is a beautiful desert district of south west punjab covering the whole Thall Desert. The beauty of desert is famous to be seen during the winter season with no deserts storms like in summer. The Russian birds migrate from Russia to this desert during the winter season to avoid extreme cold conditions with the snow in syberia. Arab Princes come to this beautiful desert for hunting purposes with their eagles and camps.
ReplyDeleteThe people of this desert are honest, trustworthy and straightforward. They are not too rich except few of them. The main crop of this desert is channa both white and black. The crop mainly depends on the rain.
bhakkar is place of sincer people ,hardworking and devoted, but still remain poorest due to negligance by government authority and few jagardar are not willing to make bhakkar progressful
ReplyDeleteBhakkar should be upgraded as a divisional headquarter of Thal area in Punjab _______The people of Bhakkar district have elected a chief minister of Punjab and a prime minister of Pakistan in different elections. Although a goup of local leaders sponcer the occassion but basically the people of Bhakkar elected them and dream of a better Bhakkar. It's requested to the concerning authorities to please consider upgrading Bhakkar as a divisional head quarter by appointing a commissioner to provide better governance facilities and security in the area. There are news that religious violence and drug smuggling is increased in the area recently.Bhakkar has been head quarters of divisional level organization of Thal Development Authority since 1952. TDA was abolish in 1971 on corruption charges against it's high officials. ReplyDeleteDistt Bhakkar is huge area of Sargodha Division. The peoples are very simple but politons of Bhakkar are very greedy who saw their own interest. The practical show is Bhakkar - Jhang Road, which is creating high problems for passengers and also for transporters. The proplem rises day to day to cruption and politions want commission from builders. Tariq

ReplyDeleteBhakkar is now becoming Dera ismail khan occupied territory.Save your district.All blood shed in Bhakkar on the name of shia sunni is always planned in Dera ismail khan.We gain independence from Mianwali in 1981 and now we are under D.I.Khan occupation.Stop them otherwise they will buy our lands and kill us in our streets.
